Disclosure

Last updated: May 13, 2026

Travel India is built on trust. This page explains, in plain language, how the Site is funded, where the recommendations come from, and what you should know before acting on anything published here.

Editorial independence

All recommendations on Travel India — destinations, itineraries, hotels, food spots, transport choices — are based on Ashvinee Nagle’s personal travel, research, and reader feedback. No third party pays to be featured. If a hotel, tour operator, or tourism board is mentioned in a guide, it is because it earned its place editorially, not because of payment.

This independence is non-negotiable. If at any point that changes, this page (and the specific article involved) will say so clearly and prominently.

Affiliate links

At the time of writing, Travel India does not have active affiliate partnerships. Over time, that may change. If and when affiliate links are added, the policy is simple:

  • Disclosure at the link level. Any individual affiliate link will be clearly marked, either inline or with a note at the top of the article.
  • No price difference for you. Affiliate links cost you nothing extra; the commission comes from the merchant, not from you.
  • No editorial influence. A hotel or service does not get a positive review because it offers a commission. The same independence rules above apply.
  • Only products and services Ashvinee would recommend without a commission. If we wouldn’t link to it from a personal email to a friend, we won’t link to it here.

Gifted or sponsored content

Travel India occasionally accepts press trips, complimentary stays, or product samples for review purposes. When this happens, the following rules apply without exception:

  • The arrangement is disclosed in the article itself — at the top, in a clearly visible note (e.g. “Stay hosted by [property name]” or “Press trip in partnership with [tourism board]”).
  • Honest reviews only. A hosted stay does not guarantee a positive review. If something didn’t work, that’s said too.
  • No edit-rights given to sponsors. The host does not see the article before publication and cannot demand changes after.
  • Sponsored posts — where a brand pays for placement — will be labelled “Sponsored” or “Paid partnership” in the title or right under it, and excluded from search results where required by law.

AI and writing tools

AI-assisted research and editing tools are used in the background — for things like draft outlines, grammar checks, fact-cross-references, and image tagging. All published guides, stories, and recommendations are written, reviewed, and signed off by Ashvinee Nagle. The editorial voice, the personal anecdotes, and the on-the-ground experience are human, not generated.

Where AI-generated imagery or fully AI-drafted text is used in a specific article (e.g. an illustrative diagram), that piece will be labelled accordingly.

Accuracy and updates

India’s travel landscape changes quickly. Prices, hours, road conditions, and visa rules can shift between trips. Travel India aims to update guides regularly, but please verify time-sensitive details (entry permits, costs, opening hours, weather advisories) with official sources before you travel.

If you spot an error or have updated information from a recent trip, please email ashvineenagle@travelindia.io. Corrections are appreciated and credited where applicable.
